Greetings from Sandbridge. Can it possibly be true that today is Labor day? Wow. Where did this summer go?
It seems like just last week it was May, and we were looking forward to Memorial day and another great summer. Now, while we officially still have 2 weeks of summer left, the unofficial end of summer is here and our kids are ready to go back to school (well, they are probably not ready, but they are going back tomorrow anyway!).
Greetings from an unseasonably warm, but a little damp Sandbridge beach this morning. We enjoyed record breaking temperatures here on the beach yesterday (76 degrees!) which made us all want to make a run for spring! We think the groundhog was incorrect on his prediction of 6 more weeks of winter. It sure feels like spring around here! It is quite warm again this morning, but the weather person says we should expect a rainy day on the beach today.
Good morning and greetings from another great weather day here at Sandbridge where we are expecting temperatures to raise into the upper 70’s and the sun to be prominent again today. Makes us wonder if it is actually November today, or is it really June. Let’s raise a sand shovel to a great day!
So this week marks the official start of the 3 week malaise known as March Madness. Whether you pull for the Cavaliers of UVa or the Eagles of Winthrop, or any of the other 66 teams in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament we are sure you are as excited as us to see what happens over the next few weeks. Good luck to everyone’s teams!
This week’s Memory comes to us from Beth Frye of Butler, Pennsylvania who stayed with us
this past August.
Who doesn’t need a good hug on a Monday morning?!
