Join the Friends of the Virginia Beach Mounted Police for their annual Trunk or Treat. Come in costume, collect treats, and see the barn decorated for Halloween during an evening of family fun. For visitors who prefer a quieter experience, the Sensory Friendly session takes place before the main event.

Take your candy hunt into the forest at Owl Creek Landing! Kids can explore in costume and collect candy at stations along the trails, throughout the Treehouse Village, and even up in the trees. Open to all ages and included with paid general admission, this event pairs Halloween treats with an afternoon of outdoor exploring.

Celebrate a local legend at Blue Pete’s annual Witch of Pungo Festival, honoring Grace Sherwood. The festivities include seasonal food and drink specials, Witch of Pungo Pumpkin Ale, music by DJ Miles, face painting, a bounce house, and readings by local medium Erin Renvylle. There’s even a storytelling visit from the “witch” herself! This unticketed event is open to the public and offers a family-friendly introduction to a memorable piece of Pungo history.

For visitors who enjoy a good scare, Haunted Hunt Club Farm offers four haunted attractions, including its Haunted Hayride. Plan an evening exploring the haunts with friends or older family members who are ready for Halloween thrills.
Hours are 6:30–11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30–10:30 PM on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The event is recommended for teens and adults, and children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
