A trip to the beach should relax you, not stress you out. Here are a few simple ways to facilitate a fun-filled getaway at Sandbridge Beach, VA.
Make Ice Packs from Balloons
Filling your cooler with ice to take to the beach doesn’t last very long. The high heat of a sunny afternoon quickly melts the ice, leaving you with lukewarm drinks and food. Ice packs are great, but often take a long time to freeze before use.
Happy Monday! It is a beautiful day here on the coast of Virginia, and spring seems to be in full swing, with temperatures this past weekend reaching in the 70’s!
We are soooo ready for warmer weather, and we are sure you are too. This weekend was a good example of what spring at Sandbridge is all about as we noted people doing yard work, people out and about, and of course folks walking along the beautiful beach here in Sandbridge.
Many school systems are about to have their spring break, and we hope you consider a quick family getaway here with Sandbridge Blue for you and your brood.
That brings us to this week’s Memory Monday photo submission which comes to us from Matt and Beth Morton, of Burke, Virginia who share this week’s memory filled picture of their family having Breakfast on the Beach! Now THIS is a cool idea! Who wouldn’t enjoy a beach breakfast! Some nice juice, coffee, maybe some donuts from Duck Donuts and the sun rising over the ocean – outstanding!
Thanks for this cool picture Matt and Beth. We appreciate the great idea for our next beach outing, and look forward to serving you and your family again soon. We will bring the coffee!
All the best from the beach!
We hope you are enjoying this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday today and thinking about making 2017 vacation plans on Sandbridge. Today is historically a very heavy booking day as folks have the day off and start to think warm thoughts. Just a reminder that you can reach our reservations agents via telephone any time 24 hours a day. We would be happy to discuss with you your next Sandbridge vacation!
Today is not such a great beach day however as it is cloudy, overcast, and we had some cold drizzle early this morning. Temps are going to be in the 40’s today and the warm thoughts and memories of summer are a long ways off right now.
Well….maybe not, as this week on our Memory Monday photo submission we bring you this shot from Colleen Pandolfino of Hamburg, New York who stayed with us this past August and sent us this great photo of kids enjoying the beach while they were on vacation.
Thanks Colleen for your photo memories. We look forward to serving you and your family again soon!
All the best from the beach.
