We've been watching it grow since the first piece of heavy equipment was unloaded on the site, and now we understand that new Harris Teeter grocery store is about to open across the street from our office.
In an announcement distributed this week Harris Teeter announced that their 54,000 square foot building which has been growing before our eyes over the last few months will be opening soon.
Their "Sandbridge Commons" store will open on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 8 a.m. as the Company celebrates its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
This location is Harris Teeter's sixth store in Virginia Beach, Va. In each of its stores, Harris Teeter is be open 24 hours, and the Harris Teeter pharmacy at this location will be open seven days per week, as well. The store will features all the usual things expected in a grocery store and some things you don't normally see such as Fresh Made Pizza, Hot Asian Bar, Sub shop with made-to-order sandwiches, Floral department, Professional Medical consultations and even "Bulk Candy."
