It's a Whale - Memory Monday 11/25/19

Happy Thanksgiving week to everyone. It will be a busy week here at Sandbridge with a lot of guests coming to enjoy the beach with their families. We also have a number of our property owners here this week as well. It is a good week to be here, as always, but also because it is almost whale watching season.

Whale Watching

Whales come along the coast of Virginia each year and the months of January through March are considered the prime time for Whale watching. They have been spotted fairly regularly in December over the past few years, and this week's Memory Monday photo shows that they can be seen right now!

Thank you to Louise Snyder of West Grove, Pennsylvania who stayed with Sandbridge Blue in October in the property "Barking Sands." She was able to capture this picture taken from the deck of the house.

Whale watching tours

If you come to Sandbridge and want to see whales up close we recommend Rudee Tours. That company operates a tour off shore each day that the weather permits and you can see these great creatures up close. The tours last approximately 2 hours, and cost less than $30 per adult.

Thanks again to Louise Snyder who provided this week's Memory Monday photo.

We hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving holiday and will come and see us at Sandbridge Blue very soon.

All the best from the beach!
