Christmas Wish - Memory Monday 12/23/19

Greetings from a balmy Sandbridge. Folks here are busily making their last minute preparations to make a Christmas wish come true. This week's Memory Monday photo contest shows that a lucky bird got his wish courtesy of one of our rental guests.

Pelican in Trouble

Carol Mchale sent in today's photos of a brown pelican who was in trouble on the beach during a recent stay with us. She tells us the bird had gotten tangled in some fishing line and was in bad shape. His wings were stuck, and so were his feet.

We won't go into a lot of details but to say the fishing line was removed. Most of the folks on the beach didn't help, but thanks to Carol and some others the bird was off to the surf to find his friends and enjoy the rest of his day.

At last look Mr. Pelican was in the ocean flying around with his friend, uninjured, but thankful that his Christmas wish came true!

Thanks Carol for sharing your photo memory with us. We look forward to serving you and your family again soon.

We wish all of our readers a happy holiday and hope you enjoy the reason for the season.

All the best from the beach!
